Life, Tuesday Ten

Tuesday Ten: 3-6-18

  1. The quote above is from the sermon at my church this past Sunday. It has become my new motto.
  2. The last Tuesday Ten I wrote was on the first day of the Oklahoma Ice Storm of 2018. We got out of class early that day, and then class was cancelled the following two days. We basically get two spring breaks this year. While I should have probably taken the opportunity to relax, instead I decided to paint. For four straight days, I painted all day, every day. (Maj helped some too – but *some* is the key word there. 😉) Finally, on Saturday, I finished our living area. It was SUCH a relief and it brightened the place up so much!

  3. With the painting complete (for now), I decided to start doing a little bit of decorating. This blanket ladder and mug stand from the Etsy shop called 1two5 Home are a couple of my favorite pieces!

  4. We also recently got our farmhouse media stand delivered. It was made by a friend of ours, Jaxon, who owns a business in Norman called 44 Design Co. This beautiful piece is completely hand-crafted and we absolutely LOVE it!

  5. Our next house project is a new front door. Right now we have a solid door, but we are trading it out for one with windows. We gotta get some light up in here!
  6. Friday was a sad day in the Perine household. We sent our babies off for three weeks of training, and I was completely unprepared. We scheduled an in-home evaluation with a dog training service, and when he said he could take them right then, my heart dropped – but the timing worked out perfectly with the wedding and all. Moose was not required to be boarded for training, as he already had a good foundation, but Bear went full-on crazy during the evaluation (no surprise). He had to be boarded, so Moose joined him. I miss them so much. Just look at that face!
  7. We officially have a honeymoon booked! We were not planning on going on one, but as this is the only break Maj will have this year other than a few short weeks in July, we decided we may as well. I’m pumped!
  8. Boy, am I glad weddings only happen once in a lifetime. This stuff is Hard. Work. Only about a week and a half to go!
  9. Last week, I found a box full of stuff I have been saving since Maj and I started dating. I’m talking movie tickets, wristbands, brochures, etc. etc. etc. I’m somewhat of a hoarder. It’s all going to make a pretty awesome scrapbook, though. I hope I can get it all together before the wedding!
  10. I’ve been keeping busy, but I’ll be sure to have two AWESOME recipes up later this week!
