Tuesday Ten: Thanksgiving Edition

  1. I am writing this post on a plane to Austin, where I will spend a couple days at home before my family and I head up to Dallas for the game. I miss Texas!
  2. The Thanksgiving game versus the Giants was AWESOME! If you didn’t get to watch it, Maj had another 100-yard game (plus 30 yards receiving), and this time, it ended in a Redskins win.

  3. I thought I was going to have to go to the game by myself, but my cousin Addison ended up coming into town for Thanksgiving! Since I had an extra ticket, she joined me at the game. We had a blast, and thankfully it was not as cold as I thought it was going to be! Overall, it was quite a successful night.
  4. Luckily, I was able to celebrate Thanksgiving with part of my family after all. My aunt and uncle (Addison’s parents) live in the next town over, so I joined them for a delicious Thanksgiving lunch. There’s nothing like family!

  5. The day after the game, Maj and I celebrated our Thanksgiving, and Addison came over to eat with us. I made a turkey breast, stuffing, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, and peach dumplings (my spinoff of Ree Drummond’s apple dumplings). We were stuffed!
  6. Friday also brought Christmas card pictures! You can see a sneak peek above. The pups looked so handsome in their sweaters! To be honest, they did not turn out all that great. Moose did not want to sit still (shocking), and Samajé was not in the mood for pictures (also shocking, LOL). Best believe we are still using them though! #HotMessChristmasCards2017
  7. If you watched the game Thursday, you may have noticed Maj leave for a bit. Unfortunately, he hurt his finger a little more during the game (it was already hurt going into it). Luckily, it is his non-dominant hand, and it is still an injury that won’t keep him from playing. Prayers for quick healing are appreciated!
  8. The great thing about a Thursday game is having (part of) an actual weekend off! We got Friday and Saturday all to ourselves. We even got a real date night in for the first time in a long time. On Saturday night, we grabbed dinner at P.F. Chang’s before going to see Coco – a movie I highly recommend. It was so good!
  9. Full House is now on Hulu, renewing my obsession. I say “renewing” because I was weirdly obsessed with the show throughout my elementary school years. I even created a Full House file box, which I filled with sheets of information I printed off of IMDB. When I say I was a nerd, I was a nerd. Actually, I am still a nerd, and Full House is still the greatest TV show ever created.
  10. Chocolate chip cookies have been taking over our apartment. I cannot complain. I will be posting my favorite recipe in the next few days!
